I was working on an essay, until I read an article about Anessa, and I thought that this was truly a touching story. I am a first-year college student, and I found this very sad, yet helpful. It made me realize that I need to be aware of who I meet and allow to be a part of my life and my friends too. I pray that you all are filled with peace and joy.

To Nessa's Family..My Sympathy...I know your pain all to well my daughter Sarah was killed by Drunk Drivers a Car and a Truck..she was 21..I hope he gets Life, it will send a message. Nessa is so beautiful you must be so proud..I pray God gives you some sort of Peace for you know he is kind.  It is a shame! I dont know her! But my mother was in 2 abusive relationships! She was beating and beating and hit wit bottles! Black eyes that left scars! Til this day i will never let a man put his hands on her or me! Bc it's to many young ladies in bad relationships when they dont have to be! If a man can beat on a women he is not a man! He is a punk he needs to fight a man not us ladies!! My deepest sympathys goes out to her family! Bc i know how it feels!! And its a hurtful thing! Godbless all!!

I am deeply sorry for everyone's loss. One of my best friends was in an abusive relationship with her oldests sons boyfriend as a teenager but she was bale to get out and move on with their separate lives. I praythat I never have to go through what so many other parents have had to experience. I have a two year old daughter and hearing your stories have taught me to begin talking to my daughter early on and instill in her pride in herself, a high level of self esteem, and the strength to get out of any situation as she notices the first of trouble. Let's continue to educate our daughters, guide them, nurture and support them, and pray for them to make the right decisions in life.

I have embarked on a new career that enables me to educate our young people of the dangers and warning signs of domestic violence. I intend to do just that. One school at a time, one community at a time and one borough at a time, one state at a time...until we have educated enough people to go out and do the same. I will say a prayer for Neesa and all the other young women who lost their lives to abusive boyfriends. I pray she is in heaven with my daughter, Jenny Crompton, who also lost her life. Jenny was 15 when her boyfriend murdered her. The video is a lovely tribute to Neesa but also made me sad to watch. I applaud Neesa's friends and family who are dedicating their lives to educating and stamping out this problem.

Thank you to Aneesa's aunt for spreading the word via different websites and providing the link to this website...I would have never known if it weren't for you providing the link to Aneesa on the Glamour website while everyone was discussing and commenting on the Rihanna interview and her feelings on abuse and her relationship with Chris Brown. Life is such a precious gift young ones...so don't give your time to those who are not worth it, who don't respect you and who don't treat you like the Queens and Kings that God has created you to be. God loves you and I do too. Stay strong and strive for success. You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the world to one person...and that one person should love you unconditionally and if you really mean the world to them you would not be treated or talked to like trash - love yourselves...don't surround yourself with negativity and abuse...God only gave us this one life, we must cherish it and live life to the fullest. Have fun, be around good family and friends, travel, experience new cultures and cuisines and don't let anyone tell you what you CAN'T do...no one in this life should have control over you or your destiny but God and yourself. My heartfelt condolences to Aneesa's family. I too, lost my 18 year old to an abusive boyfriend. From what the police told me, it was a extremely violent end to her young life. She was also in the early stages of pregnancy, I learned of her pregnancy just four days prior to her violent murder. In dealing w/ her death, as many families have done, we have established scholarships in her memory and also formed a non-profit to help educate teens of violence and help for an end. We want every teen to know that no matter how bad you feel, how people treat you, how hopeless things feel....YOU ARE LOVED! Be strong, stay safe & please talk w/ your parents, open your hearts to their advice, they want you to be happy...and happiness is not abusive. God Bless

I'm only 16 years old but I have been in an abusive relationship, it's really sad that teenagers have to go through this .. I was in an abusive relationship for a year & he ended up breaking up w. me anyways .. at least he realized that I deserved a lot better. I was emotionally & mentally abused & would never want that to happen to somebody because sometimes that is worst than hitting .. at least scars fade away .. words are always in the back of your mind. I want to help other people get out these types of relationships... if there is anyway I can help... please let me know. God bless all the victims.
